Life Skills Development
ARMHS helps individuals develop essential skills needed for daily living and social interaction. Our providers work with clients to build competencies that are crucial for independent living, particularly when mental health challenges interfere with basic daily tasks. The areas we focus on include:
- Effective Communication Skills
- Community Resource Navigation
- Budgeting and Financial Management
- Healthy Lifestyle Choices
- Mental Health Symptom Management
- Household Management
- Work-Related Skills
These skills are taught either individually or in group settings, depending on the client’s preferences and needs.
Personalized Functional Assessment
A thorough functional assessment is the first step in understanding how mental health symptoms affect an individual’s daily life. Our team works closely with each client to assess areas of strength and areas where support is needed. This process helps us create a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses each client’s unique challenges and goals.

Individualized Treatment Plans
Our team creates a personalized treatment plan based on the findings from the functional assessment. This plan is designed to help clients achieve specific goals through measurable steps. Treatment plans may involve family members, community resources, and other support networks to ensure that individuals receive the necessary care and resources to thrive.
Community-Based Interventions
We believe in fostering independence by creating strong community connections. Community-based interventions are an essential part of ARMHS and include collaborating with agencies, employers, landlords, and family members to build a network of support around the client. These interventions help clients function more independently and successfully integrate into their communities.

Medication Education and Management
Education on medication management is a crucial part of supporting mental health recovery. Our team provides clients, families, and significant others with the tools to manage medications effectively. This service includes:
- Understanding prescribed medications
- How to follow medication schedules
- The importance of consistent medication adherence
- Identifying potential side effects and interactions
This service is provided by licensed healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.
Peer Specialist Support
Certified Peer Specialists are individuals who have personal lived experience with mental health challenges and recovery. These specialists offer non-clinical support by modeling wellness, hope, personal responsibility, and self-advocacy. They assist clients in setting and achieving recovery goals while sharing their own stories of overcoming similar struggles. Peer support helps clients feel understood, supported, and empowered in their journey to recovery.

Transition to Community Living
Transitioning from more intensive care settings, such as regional treatment centers or residential programs, can be challenging. Transition services are designed to support individuals as they move into community living, ensuring a smooth and successful adjustment. Our team works closely with clients to provide the right support, resources, and guidance during this critical phase of recovery.
